Berlin 61/89 Wall Of Sound

I've been looking for a song off of this album for about an hour now... I'm usually pretty resourceful when it comes to finding an uncommon track but this album releases 11/23/09 so I guess it's not out-out yet. All of my MP3 links are suspended right now anyway... so here is a player to preview the album. The song I wanted was, Berlin 36 by MDK. I wanted to play it tonight... boo. I suppose I'll buy it.

Berlin 61/89 Wall Of Sound is a concept album featuring a compilation of various artists, "referring both to a chapter in History and a musical assemblage which resounds like a continental echo to Phil Spector’ s American pop Wall of Sound." I think my music pals, UNCLE ALEX and DANIEL would really enjoy this album too. (Go to their blogs... their mp3 links work) :)

Sunday Funday

My boyfriend and I went to the Long Beach Flea Market this weekend. It's in the Rose Bowl circuit and is on the 3rd Sunday of every month. I was like a little kid, all I wanted was toys. Here's what I got.

PhotobucketSleeping porcelain bunny, hanging glass egg, glass fish vase, glass bear vase and a giant 1970's giant barbie.

PhotobucketFish, Bear, Barbie. Stripe cashmere Pringle cardi and vintage baseball game.

Then we had lunch in Torrance at Sanuki No Sato and had yummy soba.

Photobucket mmmmmmmmm....

Mitsuwa, the Japanese supermarket is right across the street so we went and got some treats. We got Chocolate Pocky Sticks, Ichiban raman, green tea, milk tea, barley water, Yamamotoyama tea... and then we found the best vending machine. FUNKY FACE DISGUISES, with a facial hair surprise for just 2 quarters. I got dark mutton chops and a light brown mustache. It's the best $1.00 you can spend!

"Look Cool!", "Fool Your Friends!"

Fun Facial Hair Surprise

Vending machine and then parking lot photo shoot with a fur stole I got at the flea market.

Photobuckethaha, I really got into it when we got home.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band – 15 to 20 (dir. Moh Azima)

Phenomenal Hand Clap Band 15 to 20 Video from Darling Department on Vimeo.

I love Lady Tigra and I'm loving this song and video. I dig this other track too. It sounds old and dreamy and I kind of want to slow dance to it...

Fever Ray!

MP3 - Seven (The Twelves Remix) - Fever Ray

MP3 - When I Grow Up (Version by Lissvik) - Fever Ray

- "When I Grow Up (Version by Lissvik) removed upon request. :(

The first song is a new remix from The Twelves . I don't mind the remix and I like that you can dance to it but it gets a little off-key near the end. The second song is my other favorite off their album ENHANCED .

Day In Day Out (Cut Chemist Mix) Nat King Cole

This one is fun. Makes me want to cut a rug .

MP3 - She Came Along - Sharam Feat. Kid Cudi

From the album: Get Wild (2009)

I love this track. That's Patsey Cline singing in there too. I put this one in my Halloween Meow Mix . Did any of you download it??
