I <3 The Geek Squad!

(sigh...)

Double Date Dream

I don't know if it's the crisp black and white uniforms, the friendly smiles, their promised dependability, or the official GS badge..., but there's something about the Geek Squad that just makes me blush. Oh yeah, major plus if wearing glasses.

If you go to their website there is a link called Agents Up Close that gives a detailed run down of what it takes to be part of the squad.

THE UNIFORM BREAKDOWN:

SHORT SLEEVED WHITE SHIRT

-KEEPS AGENTS COOL IN CRISIS SITUATIONS AND NO SLEEVES TO GET CAUGHT IN PRINTERS.
(more skin... yessssssss)

THE BLACK BELT
-TO HOLD UP THE AGENT'S PANTS
(have to say this one makes me blush...)

BLACK SHOES
-ALWAYS SHINED & WORN WITH WHITE SOCKS TO SHOW OFF
(short pant legs and white socks, hotttt!!)

JACKET
-FOR COOLER CLIMATES AND BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL.
(I think they always look cool)

SPECIAL AGENT BADGE
-DENOTES SPECIAL RANK AND STATUS AND ONLY ISSUED TO SPECIAL AGENTS
(special agents are super hot!!)

BREAKAWAY TIE
-CLIP-ON TIE TO PREVENT STRANGULATION BY PRINTERS.
(yesss... I want one!)

GEEK SQUAD RULES AND MOTTOS:

DO NOT OFFER DONUTS: LIKE POLICE OFFICERS, AGENTS STRUGGLE TO STAY FIT AND TRIM
(awww... they are health conscious. offer a Balance Bar instead :)

ALL CAFFEINE IS GOOD CAFFEINE: DID YOU KNOW THEY'RE ON CALL 24/7??
(always available... hot!)

ACCURATAS ET CELERITAS: LATIN FOR ACCURATE AND SWIFT MOTTO READY AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE TO RESCUE THOSE IN NEED.
(smart and caring! sigh, swoon... my heros)

TO WEAR THE UNIFORM: YOU MUST HAVE NO EGO TO DRESS THIS WAY. TRAVELING IN GROUPS HIGHLY SUGGESTED.
(haha awe... group hug!)

-Oh but what would we say to each other???

"Roses are #FF0000 , Violets are #0000FF , All my base belongs to you" -ahahahah

we could trade HTML tips and quote scenes from Monty Python movies...
(sigh...), I love a man that knows his computer shortcuts.

Get... PACIFIC!

Pacific! is a band from Gothenburg, Sweden. I've been playing them on my show and if I could play their entire new album, Reveries, on the air, I would. I loved this band the moment I heard them last year on this guy's myspace that I had a crush on. I think my interest in them accidentally faded along with my short-lived romance... but one year later... and they have two great new albums and are getting bigger. I'm so happy they're back in my life!

Pacific! is electro with a sweet indie pop feel mixed with 80's synths and smooth surf rhythms. They have an entire remix album with fun beats to shoulder dance in the car to.

Manimal Festival Was Awesome!

(Sorry I haven't posted for a while, been super busy! I still am, so I'm keeping this short.)

Manimal Vinyl Records

L.A. Records and KXLU put on the very first annual Manimal Festival at Pappy and Harriet's in Joshua Tree this weekend. I drove out with The Dirty Mop and Team Van Breene and we had a fantastic time dancing around in the dirt with the farm animals and hipster-hippies in ol' Pioneer Town. Manimal Vinyl Records represent a number of amazing local LA bands including: Hecuba, Aquaserge, Bat For Lashes, Ariel Pink, Rio En Medio, Rainbow Arabia, Winter Flowers and The Chapin Sisters, just to name a few. Click on their link above to explore this wonderful label more.

Stand out performances from this weekend came from Rainbow Arabia and Hecuba. Rainbow Arabia sounds exactly like their name. The married duo performed after the sun set with a lit up neon stage and life size paper tiger. I became a fan of Hecuba after lurking around their myspace but now that I saw them live I love them even more. Everyone that performed at the festival were all very unique and amazing, but these two bands got everyone dancing and were my favorite.
