Lyndsey Lesh is an artist I found on my favorite website to find inspiration, FFFFOUND! . I pulled some of her work to reference in my own technique and have since been a huge fan. I love her fun style, bright colors and blended mediums of watercolor, sumi ink and colored Prisma and graphite pencils. I admire the way she illustrates people; capturing them in a happy, silly mood. Her work is light-hearted and full of humorous surprises in every corner.

I was so lucky to have a certain special someone to pick up on my admiration for this rising talent and thus received my favorite present ever. LOOOOOOOK, IT'S ME!!!

Lyndsey was a recently featured artist on Beautiful Decay , a go-to website for emerging and established contemporary artists. Please give her a warm welcome as she just moved to Los Angeles and is working with Beautiful Decay now! Congratulations Lyndsey!!

Love At First Step

Oh my eyes and whiskers, these are toooo cute!

Vivienne Westwood teamed up with fellow Brit, plastic footwear queen Melissa to create the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania for Melissa Lady Dragon. The collaboration resulted in a pastel aray of adorable plastic slingback peeptoe heels topped off with a shiny plastic heart. I would wear the Peach and Black with a poofy girly black dress and black tights. They all look so delicious! Just like candy, but sooooo much better then waxy Valentine's day box candy!

Onra: Chinoiseries

French-Vietnamese DJ-producer
Onra visited his grandparent's homeland in Saigon and returned with a crateful of old Chinese and Vietnamese vinyl. He cut and mixed them up with beats that make this wonderful new album, Chinoiseries.

I discovered Onra from a Dublab set. I listen to their webcast all the time. It's such a nice break from my music sometimes. Listen at DubLab.com

Am I Going To Be Like This Forever???

Found this video on Holy Taco, a funny guy that writes for guys, but is pretty hilarious and has mean Photoshop skills. It's basically porn. Thought this bit was pretty hilarious.

"Is this real life dad??"

Drugged Out Kid After Dentist

"It's nice to know that no matter what age you are, we all ask questions like "Is this real life?" when we're on mind-melting pharmaceuticals."

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti

and those damn Vivian Girls...

I like this new song with From Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti I like that this song isn't as lo-fi as some of their tracks. It's clean and strong but still sweet. They're going on a short tour in April with the Vivian Girls and then ending up at Coachella . I've seen them both live, good show. Kind of mellow, but rockin'. I love Mr. Pink's wigs and generic tween velor sweatsuits. He's preshhh...

Monday with Michael

Sleeveface is one of my favorite blogs that is dedicated to matching up record sleeves with everyday people to "blur the line between sleeve and reality". Today's post really made me giggle. I have to go through my records and do some of my own! Hey, any of you can. Watch the How-To video they made!

How To Sleeveface

Here are some classic Michael hits to start you off strong this week.
