LACE Gallery, Friday The 13th!

LACE, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions holds its infamous Valentine's Day benefit on Friday the 13th, making the lovers' day seem more like Halloween. For those of us who already tend to view the chocolate-heart holiday as truly horrifying, it's sufficient cause to celebrate among like-minded, art-loving skeptics. The multimedia mayhem kicks off with a video screening, followed by DJ sets courtesy of Dublab, Wildness, and KXLU. Sir Heffington and the Fingered Dancers hold an impromptu dance class, and a Korean taco truck awaits curbside. Thematic costumes in the "Bloody Valentine" vein are strongly encouraged.
