New on the market, Kopi Luwak (aka Civet coffee), considered to be one of the best coffees in the world. It's made from the undigested, defecated beans of the Civet cat, a small mongoose like animal that inhabits Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and other surrounding areas. The bean droppings are collected in the jungle, cleaned and lightly roasted to make a $60+/a cup of coffee.
It's a bizarre one but lucky Angelenos can find it at Funnel Mill in Santa Monica for a bargain price of $65.00 per cup. They also offer a 1lb. gift box for $739.00! For that price you may want to lightly roast your own droppings after a cup. Yaaay... recycle, go green...
